Well everyone, this will most likely be my last post on this blog. Until I decide to do a new exchange in the next few years. I am having trouble digesting the fact that my journey is over and that I am back home. I don’t know what to say really.
What I will say to all of you who are hoping to do exchanges, or are currently on an exchange, or about to leave for one is the following:
1. Don’t be afraid. Embrace the differences that are thrust upon you and accept them as being something positive.
2. Always keep in mind that someone, somewhere, is thinking of you and that there will always be someone standing behind you to support you.
3. Just when all seems lost, take a step back and analyze. Try to fix what has been screwed up before backing down. Don’t give up without a fight.
4. You can do anything you put your mind to.
This last year was an experience unlike any I could have ever hoped for. There were good times and bad, but I think that over all, it was the best experience I could have hoped for. I wish it wasn’t over. I wish that I could still be there, wandering the streets of Europe with some of the best friends that I have made in my entire life, but all good things must come to an end. I will never forget all those who have touched me and influenced me over the past year. I am forever grateful.
Thank you so much for sticking with me over this past year. I know that my posts have been more than infrequent, but I am so happy to have been able to share my experiences with you all. I wish you all the best.
